The free-range eggs are laid by hens which are fed on a specialist cereal-based 'free range meal', which contains no artificial colourant. The hens are free to roam around the field eating grass during most of the daylight hours, throughout the year. This causes them to lay a richer flavoured egg with a distinctive bright yellow yolk.
